Everything you need to know about PM Surya Ghar subsidies, DGVCL net metering, structural safety, and rooftop solar economics in Gujarat.
Under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, residential homeowners receive ₹30,000 for a 1 kW plant, ₹60,000 for a 2 kW plant, and a maximum of ₹78,000 for a 3 kW or larger plant. The subsidy is disbursed as Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) straight into the applicant’s Aadhaar-linked bank account within 30 days of plant commissioning.
No. As an MNRE-empaneled turnkey solar EPC partner, Trividha Solar manages the entire process on the National Portal for Rooftop Solar on your behalf. We handle application submission, DISCOM feasibility clearance, net-meter testing, and work-completion report upload.
The applicant must be the legal owner of the residential rooftop with electricity connection in their name or accompanied by formal no-objection certificates (NOC) and ownership documents.
Your conventional meter is replaced by a bidirectional net meter by DGVCL. During daylight hours, your solar system generates electricity. Any surplus units not consumed in your house are automatically exported to the grid. In your bi-monthly bill, DGVCL nets exported units against imported units. You only pay for net import units, reducing your bill to nominal meter rent (~₹50 to ₹100).
Extra solar units exported to the grid are banked in your DGVCL account. They roll over to subsequent billing cycles within the financial year. At the end of the settlement year, unadjusted banked units are settled at GERC-prescribed average power purchase costs.
Typically, technical feasibility approval takes 3–7 working days. Once installation is completed by Trividha Solar, DISCOM inspects the site and completes meter testing and synchronization within 10–15 business days.
No. Trividha Solar uses non-destructive mounting techniques. On RCC concrete terraces, we anchor to pre-cast concrete ballast blocks with heavy-duty chemical fasteners and waterproof chemical grout sealing. For industrial metal sheds, we use standing-seam clamps with EPDM rubber seals without penetrating the sheet metal.
Yes! We specialize in elevated gazebo-style mounting structures with 6.5 to 8 ft clearance. This retains 100% usability of your terrace while providing weather protection and natural solar shade.
All mounting structures are engineered with hot-dip galvanized steel (HDG 80 microns) designed to withstand wind gusts of up to 150 km/h in accordance with Indian structural engineering standards (IS 875 Part 3).
Commercial and industrial enterprises can claim 80% Accelerated Tax Depreciation under Section 32 of the Income Tax Act in Year 1. Combined with lower operational electricity bills (industrial tariffs average ₹8.50+ per unit in Gujarat), commercial solar projects achieve full capital payback within 3 to 3.8 years.
We provide a 25-year linear performance warranty on all Tier-1 ALMM panels, a 5–10 year warranty on grid-tie string inverters, and a 5-year workmanship & structural warranty, supported by our regional maintenance teams based in Vyara and Surat.
Our solar engineers in Surat and Vyara are available to review your electricity bill and answer all technical and subsidy queries.
